This Corgi OM41306 Wright Eclipse Fusion articulated bus model represents a First York Park & Ride double-concertina (bendy bus) in OO gauge (1:76 scale). Finished in the distinctive First York Park & Ride livery (pink and blue/purple scheme depending on route branding), this model reflects the modern high-capacity urban transport used across York’s Park & Ride network.
This particular vehicle type was part of a batch of 12 buses delivered new to Bradford in 2000. In early 2003, nine of these vehicles were transferred to York to provide additional capacity for the city’s already successful Park & Ride system. Following the transfer, they were repainted into the attractive First York Park & Ride livery and later allocated unique five-digit First Group fleet numbers.
These buses became a key part of First York’s operations during a period of strong service expansion, with the operator later being awarded Public Transport Operator of the Year (2005).
This model carries the destination display “Grimston Bar 8”, representing one of York’s key Park & Ride routes.
