This highly detailed Fleischmann 7570007 model represents the BR 143 electric locomotive in the livery of DB AG (Deutsche Bahn), epoch VI. It comes factory-fitted with DCC + sound and digitally switchable lights, and is supplied ready for direct digital model railway use.

Built to N scale (1:160), the locomotive is engineered with fine detailing on the roof, body sides, and underframe. The model features a 3-pole motor, a flywheel for smoother power delivery, and two traction tyres to improve grip and pulling capacity. Lighting is direction dependent, with three headlights and two taillights. The coupling is via a NEM 355 shaft with KK kinematics, allowing seamless compatibility with many modern N-gauge systems.

History / Prototype Background
The real BR 143 class originated in the 1980s in East Germany (Deutsche Reichsbahn) as a standardized electric locomotive, evolving from earlier classes (notably the DR class 243). After German reunification, many of these were incorporated into the DB fleet and reclassified as BR 143, used extensively on regional and S-Bahn services across Germany. The locomotive was valued for its versatility and reliability, and remains a popular prototype for model builders of modern era German routes.
