The 50093 is a miniature warm white LED bulb designed for model railway and model building lighting applications. It uses an MS4 socket base and operates within a voltage range of approximately 12 V to 22 V, making it suitable for locomotives, wagons, buildings, and layout lighting installations.

This LED illuminant replaces conventional incandescent lamps with an MS4 socket, which are commonly used in model making. Simply replace the existing incandescent bulb with the LED lamp and installation is complete.

Heat generation is especially important in confined spaces such as narrow houses or railway wagons. These LED bulbs produce almost no waste heat and consume only about one-tenth of the power of conventional light bulbs. They also have a significantly longer service life, with an expected lifespan of approximately 100,000 hours.

All Schönwitz LED bulbs include a small circuit board built into the base. This board contains a real bridge rectifier with a correctly dimensioned LED series resistor. This means the LED works with both DC and AC voltage, operates without flickering, and lights regardless of polarity. This feature is particularly useful for analog DC layouts where polarity reversal would normally cause traditional lighting to switch off in one direction.
