Vollmer STUTTGART-BERG City Church KIT
Stuttgart-Berg is a district within the Stuttgart-Ost district of Stuttgart, Germany. It's located on the west bank of the Neckar River, between Stuttgart-Mitte and Cannstatt. The area is known for its mineral springs and is situated in a valley.
The model of this Vollmer model can look back on an eventful past. As early as 1235, a church is said to have stood on the hill on the western bank of the Neckar. It was followed in 1470 by a new building in the Gothic style, which was replaced by a neo-Gothic church in the middle of the 19th century. After almost complete destruction in World War II, the church was finally rebuilt in 1954/55, so that its exterior today hardly differs from its neo-Gothic predecessor. Matching the church there is the flight of steps Art. 47759.
